 Lee Somers

Edward “Lee” Somers brings over 30 years of diverse clinical and management experience to the helm of PPC.  Lee has worked in every facet of the mental health industry from clerical up to executive management for hospital-based psychiatric programs, while earning his Masters Degree and raising a family.

After completing his state licensure track he began his tenure with The Allen Group, a national EAP. He was named as Vice-President of Services and helped with the growth of the company. Upon the sale of The Allen Group in 2007, he immediately joined with other former TAG employees in taking PPC from concept to reality.

Lee has a lengthy list of skill and accomplishments gained over his 20+ years of EAP work. He has authored and assisted in policy and program development for major US corporations. He has designed corporate training programs and he been requested to present these programs across the country. Locally, he is a frequent trainer and speaker, often serving as keynoter at governmental and private meetings. He also continues to provide direct services along with management consultation and mediation for sensitive workplace issues. Workplace Disaster Response (CISM) at the organizational policy and implementation level as well as the individual service level remains his favorite EAP task.

 Sal Curto

Sal Curto has nearly 40 years of management experience in private and public sector organizations. Most recently, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Allen Group, an EAP that served clients throughout the United States, its Trust Territories as well as portions of Canada and Mexico. He has a Masters in Psychology and was certified as an Employee Assistance Professional. He is now serving as the Chief Operating Officer for PPC.

Prior to coming to Florida, Sal worked for the federal government for many years. It was then that he first became involved with EAPs, a time when they were not widely understood or popular among employers. Some of his early involvements include contracting with a major university to develop and provide EAP services to civil service employees located in the Northeast corner of the US, establishing relationships with leading national organizations to train servicemen as drug and alcohol counselors and as a research manager during the early 1970’s. He also helped to profile servicemen returning from Southeast Asia with drug-related problems.

In later years, before Sal retired from the Air Force as a senior officer, he was assigned to the Pentagon as the Branch Chief responsible for drug and alcohol policy and program development. At the same time, Sal served as an advisor to the Office of the Secretary of Defense on drug testing policy. In connection with these duties, he exercised oversight authority of a major military drug-testing laboratory. He also participated in writing legislation governing minimum drinking age of servicemen and women.
